KEMEA Survey on "Domestic Violence during Restrictions due to COVID-19"

 

The Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) of the Ministry of Citizen Protection has launched for the first time a scientific research for mapping domestic violence manifested during the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic in Greece.

This scientific research aims to provide findings relevant to the extent and the various forms of domestic violence in Greece, as no such recent scientific evidence is available.

The survey is mainly addressed to women of 16 years old and above, living in Greece and is conducted by way of an online anonymous questionnaire.

Among the contributors to this research are Professor Maria Ioannou (representative of the Research Center, Secure Societies Institute, UK) and Dr. Calli Tzani-Pepelasi, both from the British University of Huddersfield, in collaboration with Professor Vasiliki Artinopoulou, Director of the Laboratory of the Department of Sociology "Restorative Justice and Mediation", of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, of Athens.
